The article entitled "The Right Stuff: Basic Gear Every Dog Owner Should Have," describes the clicker as "an incredibly powerful addition to a positive training program, as it communicates much more clearly to your dog what he's getting the reward for, than does the simple (and often tardy) delivery of a treat."
