Who should come to Luminos?

Luminos is for those who love  behaviour and training, want to be part of the leading-edge discussions, and want to explore and expand the use of positive reinforcement science and practice in a smaller conference setting.  

Who is behind Luminos?

Luminos is architected and organized by the same folks who bring you the fabulous ClickerExpo: Karen Pryor Clicker Training.

Where can I find the programme and detailed course descriptions?

You are able to access the schedule and/or detailed descriptions in several ways from the ClickerExpo home page:

  • From the right-side menu on the ClickerExpo home page, find your location and click on the “Conference Programme” link for the schedule.
    • In the schedule, clicking on the name of any course will bring you the full description of that course.
  • From the main event page for ClickerExpo Luminos choose the appropriate section.

The full conference programme will be announced before registration opens on December 1.

When do I chose my courses? 

There is no need to decide which courses you would like to attend and which you will miss, you have access to everything!

Is Luminos right for me?

Everyone is welcome, although we believe that you will get the most out of Luminos if you have a solid background in behaviour and training. There is no foundation track for beginners at Luminos.


How long is Luminos?

The Luminos program is three full days (Friday - Sunday)

How is Luminos different from ClickerExpo 2018?

Luminos is a single-track program covering six topics. The program is led by  five faculty members and is offered in the UK at 1 location. Luminos can accept approximately 200 people/registrations.

ClickerExpo is a six-track program with more than 80 topics and 20 faculty members. ClickerExpo is offered in the United States at 2 locations, each with a capacity of  approximately 600 people/registrations.

The topics at each program do not overlap. All faculty members at Luminos also teach at ClickerExpo (US).


How can I find a roommate?

The best bet for finding a ClickerExpo roommate is to make contact through the many clicker training-related discussion lists, including our event on Facebook. At this time we do not have room-sharing functionality built into registration.

What is included in the registration fee?

Your registration includes:

  • Three full days of presentations with five world-class speakers
  • Lunch in the hotel restaurant each day, as well as tea, coffee and snacks throughtout the event
  • Thursday evening Welcome Reception - come meet our sponsors, browse the Store and enjoy a complimentary glass of prosecco

Will there be dog & handler spots? 

ClickerExpo Luminos will include demonstrations to illustrate the application of the theoretical principles. Each of our speakers will have specific prerequisites for the demo dogs for a particular session. Keep an eye out for more details and information on how to apply for your dog to take part.

The programme is designed to present you with information to consider, discuss and then put into action once you’re home. For this reason we ask that only those dogs who are invited as demo dogs attend. As always, accredited Guide dogs and assistance dogs are very welcome throughout the event.

 

Payment Questions

Registration for ClickerExpo Luminos will open on December 1 at 7:00 pm (GMT).

I finished my registration, but didn't get a confirmation e-mail. Am I registered?

  • Once you have completed your registration online and you have entered the credit card information, please make sure to wait for the confirmation page. This page tells you that you are confirmed, and ensures that you receive a confirmation e-mail.
  • If a confirmation page does not pop up and/or you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, your charge transaction has not gone through.
  • Sometimes e-mails do not go through to recipients because of spam filtering (this is almost always the case with aol addresses). Please be sure that you have added www.clickertraining.com to your email address book so that our e-mails get through to you.

I filled out the credit card information and then I received an error message. Do I need to start over?

If you get an error message during your transaction or the system times out and nothing happens for at least a few minutes, it means that the process is not finished and you have not been charged. If the process went through and registration was completed successfully, the system will send you a confirmation e-mail automatically.

I thought I registered, but then I received an "incomplete registration" e-mail. Does that mean I am not registered?

  • If you have gone through part or all of the registration process and you get an Incomplete Registration e-mail (and no confirmation e-mail), it means you are not registered and you were not charged. You will need to go back and register again. These messages are generated automatically and do not require a reply.
  • If you get no message (confirmed or incomplete), please check your spam and/or junk mail folders.

I can't get my credit card to go through. What do I do?

If the system will not take your credit card:

  • Please check to make sure you are using Mastercard, Visa or American Express
  • Please be sure that the credit card info that you entered online matches exactly the billing info your credit card company has on file, or the card will not process. Do not hit the back button or close the window before the credit card has finished processing, or you will not be registered.

Making Changes to Your Registration

I want to change my record. Can I do that myself online, or does someone have to do it for me?

  • To make a change to your record, or to view your record at any time: Simply click on the link that was sent to you with your registration confirmation. When prompted, provide the e-mail address and reference number provided in the email.
  • Alternatively, go to the registration page, click the button that says "Existing Registration" and enter your password and reference number there.

I made a change to my record. How do I know the change went through?

  • If you make a change to your registration record (such as adding a meal), you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
  • If you don't get a confirmation e-mail, it may mean the change did not go through. You will need to check your record and, possibly, make the change again.
  • Please be sure to confirm the change at the bottom of the page every time a change is made.

Do not wait until you are onsite at ClickerExpo to check your registration record for the first time.

How do I cancel my registration? 

A refund will be issued if requested on or before 27 August 2018. Refunds are issued in the full amount, less a GBP £50 registration processing fee. No refunds will be issued after the specified date. All refunds must be requested in writing to expoUK@clickertraining.com. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Dogs at ClickerExpo

Can I record or videotape at ClickerExpo?

No videotaping or audio taping is allowed, except by special permission prior to the event. To inquire about recording at ClickerExpo, email expoUK@clickertraining.com

Cell phones

During the conference seminars and workshops, please silence all cell phones. Please take all private conversations into the hotel foyer/lobby areas while the speakers are presenting.
