Well, it's been awhile! A few days, at least. We had a lazy weekend. Not a training session in site! Kinda feels good to rest for awhile.
We started back yesterday with new vigor! I introduced something new...targeting a yogurt lid on the floor with her paw. At first she started out touching it with her nose, which was perfectly acceptable to me, since that's what our previous targeting has been about, but I was able to shape her to touch with her paw. I think she was glad to get back to work and she picked this up very quickly. We'll do a few more sessions and then try to tape it up to various walls to generalize it.
Not much else for other news except rain...and that's nothing new. It's actually kind of sunny today. At least it's not raining, but I hear it's supposed to start again tomorrow. Ugh. I used to like rain until I got a dog that I have to take out 3 times a day.
