Emma Parsons, a trainer affiliated with Karen Pryor Clickertraining, is the author of the book Click to Calm: Healing the Aggressive Dog. Emma is a member of the faculty of ClickerExpo, where she teaches several sessions related to aggression. Emma was recently granted the Animal Welfare Advancement award from the Animal Behavior and Management Association for her paper "Ben: An Aggressive Dog Case Study."
Emma has been featured on the Boston Neighborhood Network, WB56, and New England Cable News discussing various topics on canine behavior, including how to manage and reduce canine aggression and how to successfully integrate second-hand dogs into new households. Emma has also taught clicker training classes in conjunction with Tufts Veterinary School of Medicine and Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. Emma runs her own dog training business called The Creative Canine which specializes in canine aggression issues.
She is an active member of the following organizations: the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI), the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), the Heritage Trail Keeshond Club (President for several years), the New England Dog Training Club (President for several years), Massachusetts Animal Coalition (Charter Member), and the Massachusetts Federation of Dog Clubs and Responsible Dog Owners (Treasurer).
