Some interesting figures from the Barking Dog E-Course

On my website, http://positivepezine.com, I offer a free e-course for people with a barking dog problem.

If you have a dog who barks too much, go to: http://www.positivepetzine.com/barking_dog_survey_1

You will then be prompted to select a phrase which best describes your barking dog problem.  Apart from customising the information you are sent, this also serves as a bit of a survey.  The courses are split into 5 basic different types of problem barking.  Here are the basic types of barking and the percentage of people who have taken each course:

Attention, Boredom, Visitors:  30%

Fear, Reactive, Defensive:   17%

Stimulus, Frustration:  16%

Stereotypie, Separation Anxiety:  5%

Territorial:  32%

(Obviously there are overlaps between the categories and most dogs will fall into more than one category.  The descriptions aren't always going to be indicative of the exact type of problem that prompted users to select the phrases posed in the survey, for e.g a dog who barks for more than 8 hours a day might not have a stereotypie or separation anxiety, but the user would probably select "[dog barks] continuously, for several hours a day" and the course sent would be 95% appropriate all the same.)

I have published these figures here and not on my own website because most subscribers have actually come from clickertraining.com

These figures have stayed pretty much the same since I first started offering the courses.  To date 240 people have completed the courses and the feedback has been all positive.  I would love to hear some constructive criticism so that I can continue to improve the courses!  It seems the people who are most moved to write in are the people who have seen the most improvement.

Have you taken the course?  What do you think?  Where can it be improved?  What was most helpful?
