Reinforcement is a powerful thing. Take the case of "Ratty", a terrier from York in England. Ratty would regularly put himself on the bus to the Black Bull pub in York, where a barmaid would feed him sausages.

When the pub changed hands and went upmarket, the new owners banned dogs. Not a problem for Ratty! He simply caught the same bus, and crossed the road to visit a different pub, the Rose and Crown, where he has been welcomed ever since.

Perhaps the Rose and Crown should start serving Kwispelbier?
