“ It's a bargain. Where else can you listen to a dozen different trainers? Ordinarily I'd easily pay more than $20-30 for a listening/audit seat for one trainer -- and you bring all of them to the same place and give me choices of 3 talks + 2 labs several times a day for 3 days. Awesome deal!”

“The best qualified trainers, great information, great people, a lot of talent and knowledge in one place!”

2009 Reviews

“I have long experience as a corporate exec, giving and receiving at these kinds of events; professionalism both in terms of content, skills, presentation abilities, logistics and planning was uniformly outstanding.”

“I was thrilled! Click and Jackpot to YOU!! Honestly, I came away with so much insight. The presenters were friendly and generous. The attendees were really balanced, wonderful people who seemed to always be ready to share creative solutions, be helpful if someone needed a hand and I never sensed a condescending air when a more experienced trainer was assisting a beginner. As I drove home, I was trying to determine why this experience was delightfully different than other conferences I have attended. And then it dawned on me...not only was I enjoying myself, I hadn't heard ANY complaints from others...no griping, human barking, nobody muttering negativity under their breath! Bravo to Karen, Aaron and all of the production team responsible for putting together this Clicker Expo....a tremendous success!”

“I've attended before (Newport 2006) & I expected it to be fabulous. The freestyle lecture & lab put it over the top!”

“I had an amazing time, made new friends and learned just as much from attendees as presenters. It's an incredible experience and one every clicker fan needs to attend!”

“We had such a great time. This helped us implement a routine that we had been working at for sometime. Our students are thriving in just a couple of days. Not to mention that the dogs are excited.”

“It is hard to single out one speaker. All of the sessions and labs I went to were very well done and extremely useful. I was surprised how useful the labs were even without bringing my dog.”

“The Expo exceeded my already high expectations.”

“Absolutely eye opening. I can't wait for the next one.”

“The whole Expo was beautifully organized, great location, compilation of information, etc. BRAVO.”

“My wrist is sore from writing down all the things I learned!”

“Excellent job, well run. Fun. Serious learning”

“Although the sessions and professional presentations were the "meat" of the Expo experience, the  well orchestrated opportunities to meet other participants, engage in a myriad of activities of animal training, and to share ideas, experience and fellowship truly enriched the experience”

“AS I said, Big Clicks and Jackpots to you all! Oh, and my dog, Harley, had a wonderful time socializing with all of you!”

“From the moment I registered to the moment I arrived the staff that handled the expo was excellent.”

“The hotel was particularly great with all the grass areas for the dogs. Hotel staff was VERY dog friendly. My husband and I had a wonderful time and it was a tremendous experience for our dog who participated and benefited from the experience greatly.”

“I just wish there was a Karen Pryor academy 5 years ago when I paid to go to a professional trainer school that taught me all about compulsion....when I really wanted to learn more about clicker training! I'm glad that trainers now have that wonderful resource. Keep up the excellent work!”

“The staff was professional and also just plain wonderful people. I was intimidated with this being my first clicker expo; I'm new to training and I felt like I would drown in the shadows of such talent. It was quite the opposite. Everyone was so willing to share ideas and tips and discuss anything I had questions about. This was an experience like no other.”

“It was a GREAT Expo! I saw lots of people that I knew in the dog training circuit and it helped build a stronger relationship with them. Thank you!!!!”

“Loved it, loved it!”

“Thank you for being so kind to the animals by bringing about a kind way to train them, and caring enough to share it with the rest of us.”

“I knew ClickerExpo would be a great experience and that I'd learn many things, but I now know that is an understatement. ClickerExpo is a Unique, Incredible, Magical, experience. I've been to many dog camps, seminars, workshops, etc. ClickerExpo, by far, is the best ‘dog event’ I've attended. To be around that much positive reinforcement (for the dogs and the humans) was beautiful. Thank You!”

“I signed up early (back in August) and I was really looking forward to it. Usually when you start looking forward to something, you build up your expectations so high they cannot possibly be met. That was not the case here. Wow!”

“Outstanding! This was my second Expo—I was more mentally prepared for the overwhelming volume of information.”

“Since I've been before, I already had high expectations, and I'm happy to say that I was NOT disappointed. I am always amazed by how genuine the faculty is and how generous the faculty is with time. I think the whole Expo experience is just an awesome opportunity.”

“Besides the information being overwhelmingly stimulating, the passion the presenters had for their topics was inspiring.”

“My second time and I enjoyed it more this time than last....and I enjoyed it a great deal the first time!!”

“Each speaker was very generous and patient with his/her time to answer questions after the presentations and labs. This also carried out to afterward in the hallways, at a luncheon or dinner, and bumping into faculty over a cup of coffee. The "support" staff was also incredibly calm and helpful amidst a flurry of activity (Alison and her staff, Sandra and her staff). Karen Pryor and the faculty were always patient and accommodating when lines of individuals were waiting for their turns to have a meaningful conversation. I truly have no idea how any of the faculty had time to eat and take a break!”

“Faculty Discussion Panel: what a treat to have the entire faculty in one location for the Q&A. The manner in which each faculty member engaged and politely debated was worth the entire Expo. We learn as professionals that information gathering, with positive and reciprocal training discussions, helps to grow and develop a well-rounded teacher. Observing the faculty discuss and answer questions as a cohesive group—each one adding their own experiences to the answers—was an educational experience that enhanced an already fantastic agenda.”

“(After) all of the presentations that I attended I walked away with something that was either a reminder of something I learned in the past or a new concept.”

“The part I liked best was being in a ‘world’ where dogs were part of daily activities, including meals, etc.”

“(I) had a wonderful experience, as did my dog. We made friends, we reviewed and sharpened current skills, we learned new ones, and we gained confidence which we'll carry forward in all our dog endeavors. Thank you for the unique experience and thank you to Karen, Aaron, and the faculty for being so accessible and available for conversation.”

“Thank you for the opportunity to learn with some of the greatest minds around.”

“I feel blessed to have been able to attend. ”

“This has been an absolutely incredible experience for me and I truly thank ALL the speakers and organizers of this expo for their time, commitment, and sharing of knowledge.

I feel like a sponge that has barely begun to absorb. I look forward to the next conference.

I've spent the first 40 years of my life trying to find my purpose. I will spend the second 40 years enhancing the lives of dogs and people that I come in contact with, using the methodology of clicker training.

Thank you so much!”

“I had the wonderful opportunity to be coached as a trainer by one of your faculty in a session. (It was not her session, she was participating in the lab) It was GREAT getting detailed specific feedback about my mechanical skills. ”

“Just ‘thank you’ for another wonderful experience!”

“Thank you for making this forum available. It has been life changing! I am very grateful...”

“I like the ability to attend any level of session. It is great to go to review foundation & learn higher level skills in the same weekend.”

“It's amazing to have so many expert trainers in the top of their respective areas in one conference AND it's wonderful that the integration together is so seamless (many lectures mentioned/referenced other lectures and faculty). I only wish I could've been in two places at one time to see more sessions! Also, it was great that all of the faculty were so open to questions even outside of the sessions—such a great ‘dream team’ of friendly trainers!”

“Seeing and talking with the speakers—everyone was incredibly nice and easy to talk to.”

“It was so wonderful having all of the dogs here. They were so well behaved and their handlers were super with them. ”

“Keep the standard this high!”

“Great selections of info by great instructors.”

“This was a super educational experience, I have tools to bring back and work with!”

“I have never seen so many well behaved dogs in one place before!!!”

“Best conference out there!!”

“Spectacular fellowship of like-minded people in a nurturing, learning environment.”

“I especially like the fact that you offer a session/lab combination for those that want/need the seminar session in order to fully appreciate and learn from the labs. The labs are great. As an observer I learned a great deal from each lab that complemented/enhanced knowledge gained from the sessions.”

“Inspirational, eye opening, fundamental.”

“I go to workshops & seminars all the time for my “real” job—I've never felt so inspired to go out and really try what I have learned.”

“Absolutely the best, top echelon teachers—it's fantastic to have them all in one place.”

“This was my first time here and I really enjoyed the experience. I thought I knew a lot about clicker training and found out there is a lot more I need to learn. The labs also gave you a chance to see what you are doing right and wrong. All the staff and teachers were all very helpful and nice. What I liked about the Expo, also, is, showing all the science behind the clicker”

“I attended the ClickerExpo last weekend and also last year. I very much enjoyed both and look forward to attending again. The ClickerExpo was very rewarding to me. I really loved the TAG Teach lecture/lab, it opened up my mind to a whole new way of helping my clients learn to clicker train the dogs. I came home with all kinds of new ideas and skills. Besides it was just a lot of fun.”

“In my profession as a nurse, I've had many opportunities to attend conventions, where all the attendees had a common cause, but never have I experienced anything like this. There was an awesome feeling of friendliness, helpfulness and common goals among attendees. staff and faculty. The faculty was always helpful and friendly as well as inspiring”

“When I signed up for the seminar, I was concerned that it would not be a good use for my limited $$$ resources. As I leave, I have NO DOUBT, it was worth every single $$$$$. Thank your for an informative, fun and positive experience that I will carry forward with me forever”
