Takota did great today when a non dog person came to visit.  Initially I gave the dog a bone to distract when the person arrived and then we left and returned.  I put the dog on the leash

Takota has been with us 4 months and completed his first dog training class.  He knows sit, stay, come, lie down(some times).  He shows social friendly behavior to both dogs and humans.&n

The dog is worn out from his second dog obedience class.  Homework is stay, down and leave it.

This weekend I took our rescue dog of two weeks to a local beach which allows dogs.  My reason was simple- tire him out.

The clicker has taught me to mark what I want my dog to do.  In other words-the click eliminates the guess work and helps me communicate effectively with my dog.
